Missiles fired by the US and Israel have hit two schools in the town of Parand, southwest of Tehran, amid ongoing strikes on the country.

Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported on Thursday that US and Israeli strikes have targeted 33 civilian locations across the country, including hospitals, schools, residential areas, the Tehran Grand Bazaar, and the historic Golestan Palace complex, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

According to Iranian government figures shared on X, citing the Iranian Red Crescent, more than 3,600 civilian sites have been damaged in strikes attributed to the United States and Israel.
The head of the Iranian Red Crescent stated that at least 3,090 homes, 528 commercial centers, 13 medical facilities, and nine Red Crescent centers have been hit. Major medical facilities damaged include Khatam Hospital, Gandhi Hospital, and several rehabilitation and welfare centers.
Authorities indicated that some patients were injured when hospital structures collapsed during the strikes, and facilities such as Valiasr Burn Hospital were rendered inoperable.
Residents of Tehran described the bombardment as heavier than in previous days. “Today is worse than yesterday. They are striking northern Tehran. We have nowhere to go. It is like a warzone. Help us,” said 36-year-old Mohammadreza by phone.
Israel confirmed additional strikes on Tehran, and explosions continued across Iran on Thursday.
The death toll in Iran has reached at least 1,230 since Saturday, while Israel has expanded its operations to include Lebanon.
The Iranian Red Crescent stated that documentation of the damage has been submitted to the International Committee of the Red Cross and other international organizations for potential legal proceedings.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has verified over 10 attacks on Iran’s healthcare infrastructure during the US-Israeli campaign, resulting in four healthcare worker deaths and 25 injuries.
“WHO has verified 13 attacks on healthcare in Iran and one in Lebanon,” WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said during a news conference on Thursday. A WHO official at the same briefing added that four ambulances were affected and that hospitals and other health sites sustained minor damage from nearby strikes.
The conflict escalated on Wednesday when a US submarine torpedoed and sank the Iranian frigate Iris Dena in the Indian Ocean near Sri Lanka.
